SAE is pleased to share that the preliminary scoring sheet for the Formula SAE Electric Driverless Design portion is now available under Series Resources - Design Event Resources for team review.

Teams participating in the Driverless Design portion should note that Driverless systems will be evaluated simultaneously during the design judging session at your team’s assigned design slot. Judges will assess both traditional vehicle design and Driverless-related systems within the same session, rather than through a separate standalone evaluation.

Teams competing in both Formula SAE Electric and Driverless will receive two separate design scores. Accordingly, teams should prepare their Design Briefing submission using both applicable Design Score Sheets.

As this is the first year incorporating Driverless into the design event workflow, the Driverless Score Sheet reflects our intended approach for onsite operations. However, minor adjustments to scoring criteria, weighting, or evaluation flow may be necessary during the event.

Any updates will be made with the goal of ensuring fairness, clarity, and consistency for all teams, and will be communicated as promptly as possible.
