Ten years ago in 2012, Michael and Suzanne Royce, avid Formula SAE key volunteers with editor William Kimberley and fourteen contributing friends, published the first edition of “Learn and Compete, A Primer for Formula SAE, Formula Student and Formula Hybrid Teams”. About 5 years ago, no more copies were available and finding even a used copy was extremely difficult.

Therefore, the Royce's started on a second edition. This second edition was released at the 2022 Formula Student competition at Silverstone in the UK.
