SAE International proudly presents the Formula SAE European Invitational, taking place November 14–17, 2025, at Vallelunga Circuit, just outside Rome, Italy. This special competition is being held in collaboration with the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA).

The Formula SAE competition challenges university students to design, build, and compete with a formula-style race car powered by an internal combustion engine. The European Invitational will feature a maximum of 50 teams, offering a more focused and competitive environment compared to larger U.S.-based events that often include over 100 Teams.

Invitations will been extended to 100 top-ranked teams from 19 countries, based on the Formula World Ranking List. Participating teams will face the challenge of navigating regional regulations, adapting to the Vallelunga Circuit, and demonstrating their engineering and performance capabilities on an international platform.
