This award recognizes innovative, well engineered solutions within the Formula SAE competition that showcase sustainable systems in the team and on the car that contribute to exceptional performance. Aligning with Cummins' Destination Zero strategy, the intent of the award is to encourage teams to integrate sustainability into their overall engineering systems and consider real world factors such as efficiency, durability, manufacturability, performance and environmental impact.

Winning teams will clearly communicate how their solutions demonstrate Excellence, Innovation, Teamwork, and Sustainability for their car this year and the team long term.
All award recipients will receive a unique Cummins sponsored trophy, recognizing their achievement, along with a cash award of:
• First Place: $1,000
• Second Place: $750
• Third Place: $500
