The Draft Formula SAE 2027 Rules are now available for public review and comment.

Updates have been made to address recurring rules questions, feedback onsite and reflect current practices.

Please note: These are draft rules released for public comment only and are not the Official Formula SAE 2027 Rules. Following the public comment period, all feedback will be reviewed and considered. Any resulting revisions will be incorporated before the Official Rules are finalized and published for competition use.
When reviewing the draft:

• Do not review only the listed changes; they are not a comprehensive summary.
• Comments on the entire document are encouraged.
• Provide feedback on both the rules and the changes.
• If you identify an issue, explain it clearly so we understand your concern.
• If possible, include a recommended solution or suggested wording.
• Anyone may submit comments, including competitors, judges, and officials.
• Only serious, non-anonymous submissions will be considered.
• Contact information is requested in case we need clarification or wish to follow up.
