Templates for the Driverless Systems Form (DSF) and Driverless Vehicle Status Video (VSV) submissions are now available for teams planning to participate in the Driverless competitions. These documents complement the recently published Driverless Rules Supplement. These documents can be found under Series Resources - Technical Inspection - Driverless Resources & Templates

• Driverless Systems Form (DSF): Outlines the required submission and defines the Driverless System as the combination of sensors, computing hardware, actuators, and other hardware and software that enable a vehicle to operate in Driverless Mode. Teams will submit separate document submissions for each of these areas.

• Driverless Vehicle Status Video (VSV): A required submission demonstrating that a team’s vehicle can drive under its own power before the specified deadline.

Teams are encouraged to review the templates and submission requirements as they prepare for the season. Additionally, information has been posted on the Driverless Remote Shutdown System.

Reminder: Driverless Notice of Intent (NOI) Due November 9, 2026 before 11:59 PM Eastern

Teams interested in participating in the 2026–2027 season must submit the Driverless Notice of Intent (NOI) by the November 9th deadline to be eligible. Submitting the NOI does not commit a team to participate if circumstances change. However, teams that do not submit the NOI by the deadline will not be eligible to participate later in the season.
