Two technical resources have been updated for the 2027 competition season:

• Energy Meter User Manual
  The Energy Meter User Manual has been updated with the new Energy Meter temperature sensing requirement for the Formula SAE Electric 2027 season.
  • Specific temperature sensors for the energy meter are not required for 2027.
  • Teams must provide the average, minimum, and maximum sensed cell temperatures to the energy meter via CAN from the Battery Management System (BMS).

• Frequently Asked Questions
  Specifically, FAQ #329 Approved Insulation – Monitoring Devices has been updated.
  • CAN bus connections are now allowed to models which support them.
