This is an important clarification regarding the Request for Quotation (RFQ) requirement for the upcoming 2026 Formula SAE competitions (May and June).

All teams are required to complete and submit the RFQ as part of the Cost Event, regardless of whether they advanced in the Business Presentation rounds. The RFQ will serve as the Cost Scenario discussion portion of the onsite Cost and Manufacturing judging event. Participation in this portion of the competition requires a completed RFQ submission.

Please note:

• RFQ submission is mandatory for every team
• It is required even if your team did not advance in Business Presentation
• Deadline for submission:
  • April 29, 2026 (IC)
  • June 3, 2026 (EV)
• Failure to submit the RFQ by the deadline may impact your team’s ability to fully participate in the Cost and Manufacturing event.
